Stax Museum of American Soul Music
Music is woven through the Mid South, and Memphis is right at its heart. As refugees moved into the towns and cities, music bypassed segregation and brought people together. Located at the original site of Stax Records, the Stax Museum of American Soul Music celebrates music and pays homage to all the artists who recorded there through galleries, films and interactive exhibits.
